I really love this book! It kinda has Harry Potter vibes, but that isn't a bad thing. If you love fantasy novels, I highly recommend this. Personally, I really liked this book and can't wait for the second in the series. Yes, it is a series. The book itself, is written really well and the characters and described as if you personally know them.

Overview: The novel is based on a boy named, Arram Draper and his years attending the Imperial University of Carthak for mages. This story spans over 4 years of his life at the school from age 11 to 15.

Basically, Arram learns his abilities and limits being a powerful mage.
