Wisdom Teeth Removal?! MY experience...

Imagine this: having braces for over 2 years and almost 3, be told to get your wisdom teeth removed in order to continue the braces process, and being forced to get your WISDOM TEETH REMOVED prematurely! Yes, you probably already guess, but all this happened to me. So I go into the orthodontist the day of my wisdom teeth removal and am told to sit in the "dentist chair". I sit, wait for about 30 minutes for the actual surgeon to arrive, and then get injected with amnesia.

Be careful when you brush your teeth. Have patience and brush lightly. Avoid stitches.

As you know, from probably watching funny wisdom teeth removal videos because you are getting your wisdom teeth removed, you knowing people tend to be a little crazy and say a whole bunch of nonsense. Well, I woke up from the amnesia and totally lost it. I didn't say anything or do anything crazy when I woke up, but I remember just losing it, like bawling my eyes. I became so emotional and sentimental and when I look back on it, I don't know why. I completely remember everything the moment I woke up and just realized how much pain I felt, physically and mentally. I was tired, my faced really ached, my head was spinning, and my head and face were super heavy. I was pretty grumpy everyday that week. The swelling in my face, pain, emotionally and physically decreased in about a week and after I was back to normal.

For the first few days, I literally hated everyone, I was moody, and I remember thinking that Hell and Death was better than the pain of getting your wisdom teeth removed. I felt like the only way to get rid of the pain was to basically die, but I guess I was pretty emotional at that time. I remember being drowsy in the first few days after the removal. So drowsy, in fact, that I literally could not walk in a straight line, my vision was in and out, and I specifically remember that I was walking and fell, just fell. When collapsed and just laid on the ground because I did nit have enough energy to get back up.

This may sound weird, but when I laid flat on the ground, looking at the ceiling, it was kind of like meditation; it allowed me to relax and have that peace around me that I did not feel at that time. I highly recommend you relax after getting your wisdom teeth removed and staying in cool places. You do not want to overheat and relaxing in a cool place is the best way. The swelling of the removal should only last for about a week. By the way, this was also the same week as Thanksgiving break. I could not eat at Thanksgiving and felt did not do anything during the break. I hope you have a better experience than me and best of luck with your removal! Good luck!

Disclaimer: The way a person behaves after the amnesia depends on that person, so not everyone acts the same way, so do not expect to behave as I did.

Let me know how you felt and if their is any advice you can give for those going through it.
